I had an uncle who looked like the way Earl is drawn. He lived to be 95 and he could tell some ‘big ones’! He’d tickle you to death! Earl really makes me think about him when I read this strip everyday.
Thirdguy: I had use of my parents’ 1950. It had a divided horizontal opening between the hood and grill which was eliminated by the taller grill in the 1953 version. In 1956-7, its sizzle turned to fizzle and it developed a tendency to totally stall out, but she married me anyway, and still are in spite of “Trikephalus”.

Just shows you how much grandchildren trust and believe their grandparents. It’s a heavy responsibility but you have to have some fun with them too.

Actually, the Studebaker and the AMC Hornet were the two best cars ever made. The public prefers sex and sizzle.
