Nah, he’s just depressed because his (very) little brother Eddie beat the heck out of him yesterday.

This is the day you don’t try to talk to him. LoLhe’ll just call you incompetent, and stupid.

Teen issues are the same as monkey issues, but you don’t hear monkeys complaining about their parents. Poor monkeys, keeping it all bottled up.

When my son was a teen he said he knew the solution to all the worlds problems. But he had no idea how to solve his own.

One of my sons attended a ‘Navy Seal’ week-long camp conducted by former and current Seals designed to give a feel what being a Seal is like. One story told about the real training is having the trainees stow away their barracks military style for inspection. After they would leave for training, the barracks would be torn apart by a drill instructor. When the trainees returned, the barracks were inspected and the trainees were PUNISHED for leaving a pigpen. Lesson brought home ‘Life is unfair-deal with it’. Now I’m not recommending doing this for teenagers but given as an example of how the ‘big boys’ do it. A lot of times just explaining something important isn’t enough but I do appreciate the gentle way Mom explained Toby’s feelings.

I’m almost out of my teenage years as of December.

Just counting down the days…
