No promoter would set them up at a large venue without good proof that they could sell enough tickets to pay for the venue and make a profit. The promoters may enjoy the music, but they are in the business to make money, not lose it.
If there’s any phrase I would like to see taken behind the barn and shot — and I can think of several — it would be “Act your age.” Not to mention "You’re too old to… " and “Aren’t you too old to… ?” Really, it all gets so — old.
