Patty needs to get contacts and move far away. Then maybe there would be hope for her.
Just a nosy bunch aren’t they?
I can’t believe they are at the table and no eats, How can they gossip without ding dongs?
No she is not worried, she may not have liked him anyway, he may have had bad breath or something else. But he may know about the Pennys and is still running…..We may never know will we!
Yeah,Listen to your aunt ….a woman wearing a shirt that says “Desperado’s”…. (hey, I’m not responsible for the spelling or grammar here.)and who has spent 20+ years pining for a fat, hairy, stupid, cheat in a bad toupee. And sure, on the advice of your crabby, sarcastic, pushy grandmother, confront him about marriage after one date….Grandma knows just what to do, if you never want to see someone again.
Hopefully Patty knows better…but my advice to her is always the same….RUN!
PS … Pacopuddy…. Patty is often shown with a boyfriend….sometimes he’s wearing a university T-shirt… usually Harvard…and often his name is John. But as I’ve said before (sorry)…. there’s no chronology or continuity in the strip, as panels get re-used in no particular order.Good morning, all!
Morning all. Poor crabbear. Good name. I love this comic. It is the first thing I read in the morning. I shake my head every day at what the Penny’s represent. Either you get it or you don’t. Why complain?
@Leaky- that was my first thought, too (if he met them, he’s gone).@LovesLife, Julie doesn’t SHOW the tabletop (I’m sure they have the customary snacks-even without evidence on their faces).@Susan, the last thing anyone should do would be to take dating advice from this lot.
Crab, why? You certainly don’t have to look solely at Dinette Set to be reminded that there is plenty of stupid in the world. We’re generally waist deep in it on a good day.I do wonder why you keep coming back to DS when it aggravates you so much. That’s gotta be bad for your BP. I admit sometimes the humour is better than others, but I come more for the online camaraderie anyway. I enjoy Susan’s sprightliness as well as Dazz’s senior version of Ado Annie, Leaky’s disappearances to the Gulf Coast casinos and Marg’s stints in rehab. It’s just a connection with people and the strip is the binder, sort of like the batter in fruitcake. Enjoy life. Do what you like. Don’t do what you don’t like. Peace.
Interesting… it looks like Crabear’s comment (which I missed, but can guess about as they were all pretty similar) has been removed? I think Patty would be well served by heading 2old’s advice of keeping her dating life private so as to not get such horrific advice. :)

First (last) date 4 days ago. Married? And “Bulldog” Ma, she’s got her teeth in his leg and won’t let go. The doc needs Seal Team Six.

Why would she even tell them! Keep your private life to yourself, and run!

Re: Today’s installment. Hey Patty’s not worried…..so at least 25% of the life (two-legged, anyway) in that kitchen is certifiably O.K.!!
