Re: HAL, IBM, Clarke & KubrickI’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding you or you misunderstood Skywatcher68, but it was Clarke and Kubrick who didn’t want the name HAL to be taken as a slam against IBM. Here’s a letter from Kubrick about HAL and IBM.
