@ Allan,I wasn’t referring to you yesterday when I called you Grandma. I’m the Grandma, but I’m not responsible for that poor dog’s “costume”. I would have quilted him something tasteful! And don’t call me Shirley! lol
@dukedog: It’s not just national parks. It’s all parks and pretty much all private property, too. Why? Because of insurance companies. They’re the ones that force churches to lock up, too. I remember after 9/11 we wanted to keep our church doors open for grieving people to come in and pray – but somehow the insurance company heard about it, showed up one day, and threatened to drop us if we didn’t lock the doors except for worship times. We finally compromised by installing a time lock so the doors would automatically lock in the evening and unlock in the morning.
Yeah, the depression of winter is catching……..look out the window every morning and see the beautiful sun rise (which we take for granted) and realize we are spinning about 700 miles per hour (I think) and it is a glorious sight so see those first rays. Happiness is also catching.
My black pit-lab likes the snow also. He hops around like Louie. What I don’t get is all that sniffing the snow. What is he smelling? Must be the lab part of him.
@ AllanThese? Only $59.95 and 10 weeks. Of course it will be Spring and you may not need them, but the way the weather is going, it will probably snow on the 4th of July. Rush orders are $25.00 more and I have lots of yarn to choose from.
There is lots to smell in snow, from what I observe of dogs sniffing it.Louie is the perfect antidote for winter. I love to watch a dog frolic in the snow.
For once, misery doesn’t love company. I guess it makes Nate feel even more depressed to see Louie down as well, so he would rather that Louie be happy.
