Perhaps Bernice & Delta are being āwritten outā to a large extent. Luannās college days will bring new friends, challenges, with or without Quill. Plus, Brad & Toni will be a big storyline going forth. I expect to see less and less of Luannās high school/childhood buddies.
Well, it looks like the girls are singing their swan songā¦it seems as though Greg is giving them a future being apart yet being together all the sameā¦ ;)
Re: the end of the Luann stripā¦Greg still needs to draw the Senior Prom and Brad and Toniās wedding. After that, your guess is as good as mineā¦ ;)
Yes, IJB, Iām guessing a lot of posters donāt really care for this arcā¦it is kind of āsoppy,ā but I am sort of enjoying it. It gives the girls hope that they wonāt be parted after high school. Although it happens more often than notā¦ ;)
āSo many worlds, so much to do, So little done, such things to be.ā Alfred, Lord Tennyson.
And on that note, Iām off the see the wizardā¦ ānite all (if even there is an āall!ā) ;)
Dionne Warwick and friends, āThatās What Friends Are ForāāWith A Little Help From My Friendsā (Beatles/ S.P.L.H.C.B.)āYouāre My Best Friendā, QueenāLean On Meā, Bill WithersāIāll be There for Youā by The Rembrandts (ugghā¦ āFriendsāā¦ Lol!)āThank You For Being A Friendā, Andrew Gold (as made famous by the Golden Girls)āFriendsā, Elton JohnāStand By Meā, Ben E. No, some of them still replay every once in a while- like a flashbackā¦. -Actually, I think that not only was it my GC anniversary a few weeks back, but I think my first Donnybattle was this very weekā¦.
Donāt need all 459 pages, but Iāve sure enjoyed laughing at the ones youāve just posted. His lack of any reality was infuriating at times, but sort of hope heās OK now.
Expert tug on the heartstrings of the audience here. It is, in a way, the end of an ere. But is also the beginning of a new one. And, yes, I expect we will see much less of Delta while sheās off in D.C. at Howard University. But Luann and Bernice should cross paths pretty often, though the relationship wonāt be the same, with the new-and-improved Bernice and their separate circles of (sometimes new) friendsā¦.
Actually Brad Bird has stated repeatedly that he would love to do an Incredibles sequel, but it must have a story that is worth it. He refuses to do it, ājust for the moneyā.
I suspect Pixar agrees with him after Cars 2. I enjoyed C2 but an awful lot of people did not.
Itās funny. C2 grossed nearly $600 million in worldwide sales at a cost of only $200 million, yet it is considered by many to be Pixarās first flop. We should all have flops like that.
ā¢1: Planes was NOT a Pixar movie. It was a Disney movie all the way. Since Disney owns the rights to Pixar, they had the legal right to set it in the Cars universe. but Pixar had nothing to do with the movie.
ā¢2: Planes had a budget of $50 million. It grossed world-wide $219 million, $90 million of that was domestic. So it definitely was no flop by any stretch of the imagination.
ā¢3: I couldnāt be happier to hear that Brad Bird is finally actively working on I2. If ever there was a movie that cried out for a sequel, it was The Incredibles. If Brad Bird is working on it, then that means he has a story he feels is worth doing. Now if we find out that Pixar is working on I2 without him, then I would be worried.
There will also be a sequel to āPlanesā, called āPlanes: Fire And Rescueā. It will be out in July of this yearā¦. - Thatās why I said: āBlame the Mouseā. Thereās so much of their name around, and their fingers are in almosteverything ā¦ from sports to music to television, to restaurantsā¦ The over-saturation and monopolizing, among other things, will be like āB&Lā was, in the Wal-E movieā¦.
I was hearing a little āCarole King.ā :) Technically, sheās the composer, right? Although JT was definitely involved in the initial covers of it.
Goodbye to childhood ā itās on to adulthood. Theyāll wind up at the same college ā and I hope, like Doonesbury and For Better Or Worse, weāll see them continue on in real time forever.
Yes, but clearly not as āpushedā as the flat-screens are. Places like H.H. Gregg and Best Buy would be more likely to have them (in limited stock) than Target, Kmart and WalMartā¦.
(activating James Bond/Montgomery Scott Impersonation:) Thatād be a āwee bit of a problemā¦ it would leave people āshaken, but not stirredāā¦ the engines of law would not be able to ātake any moreāā¦. (terminating impressionā¦.aboutā¦now.)
Yāknow, it takes a while to develop a skill such as replying to him. Years, even. Probably would be a good college course. Certainly not an easy feat for a novice, ha ha ha!!!!!

This summer, for the first time ever, Pixar got beat out at the box office by another CGI franchise.
Monsters University was hugely profitable, yeahā¦but Despicable Me 2 still clobbered it.
And itās been announced that Pixar not be releasing a movie THIS summer, ( another first. )
Iāve been wondering ever since Cars 2ā¦Has this studio lost its mojo?
