Um… when did mobile phones come with a flash on their camera options?

Earl must not have a Smart Phone.

@temple SUD—-Mine does also, and nearly all of the new ones have flash as standard equipment. Cameras are getting better also, with some I believe doing HD video. One latest one has 16 megapixel front camera & 2 megapixel rear. Mine can also do the extra wide panoramic shots where it stitches together 3 or 4 separate shots & joins them digitally into one. Believe it or not, you can also use these devices to actually call & talk to people, but few do so these days.

Maybe “selfie” just means one’s self taking a photo which includes said self but may or may not include others.
