My wife doesnā€™t like shopping either as far as the phone is concernedā€”she hates it unless it is one of our daughters(we have 3, only children we have)then she can talk ā€˜til the cows come homeā€™. Personally, I donā€™t like to talk on the much at all, Iā€™m more a ā€˜face to faceā€™ conversationalist.

I forgot what city she is in, but is the shopping really so much better? Other than NYC, I never go shopping when I go on trips because I know where the good stores are in my town, not in other towns.

Love shopping, hate talking on the phone. But I love email and would probably love texting if I had a smartphone. Too bad there were no details about her visits with family but if weā€™d seen all of that the trip that was supposed to last only a week wouldā€™ve lasted 6 months. (at least in comics land)

I can remember scouring great cities for ā€˜coolā€™ stuff (e.g. sneakers) for my teenage daughter. I think San Francisco was a ā€˜Conversā€™ weekend. Luckily I got back since.

I, too, hate phones, mindless shopping and I donā€™t fly. Born a century too late.

My favorite store is The Internet. Itā€™s a mega-chain, located wherever I go. Thing is, prices are just all over the place. But the selectionā€¦!

What is in the window in the fourth panel? Is Elly going to hold an umbrella while wearing a leotard? Must be some new way to wow her husband after the kids go bed!

Has anyone noticed that her needs are on the bottom of the ā€œto doā€ list? Everyone else needs have been met!
