Their commando jerseys are more cost-effective. Sweatshirts and blankets are my approach to cold – better to insulate one cubic yard than to heat 1000, whether with gas or electric.—From one of Piers Anthony’s Tarot novels I learned of Chinese oven beds – the heat was only where it was needed. Got me rethinking my roommate’s electric blanket vs my habit (at the time, almost 30 y.a.) of turning the furnace up.
Thanks to the economy, I’ve been forced to board in someone’s house. The temp in my room is a constant 59 degrees. The law says landlords are obligated to keep it at 70 degrees. I’d complain, but I have a feeling my cheap rent is “off the books” and any interference from authorities will get me kicked out on the street.

Since she pays the power bill, just get electric heaters in each boarder’s room/

electric heaters would make the electric bill way high. Those little power suckers are worse than just turning up the temp to 70. Believe me I know.
