Actually, it’s probably also incorrect to say “you’re twins” as that implies that you are both of them. The more correct way would be to say “you sign your twin’s name instead of yours”.but whose kwibbling over smantiks?

I sign my wife’s name on our taxes every year. Never been busted … yet …But I suppose if I ever get her really pissed at me she can turn me in for the reward.Which is one reason I’m always nice to her!!
