Sophie: “But, it’s not like it’s a habit or anything. I can stop whenever I like. It’s more a “social chewing” thing. For right now, I may switch to something milder. Like chewing Dad’s socks.”
Try “Good Omens”, a collaboration between Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. It’s hysterical take on the apocalypse. Best quote: “Heaven & Hell have one thing in common. You can’t get a decent drink in either place.”
Once again, I had to click on my daily email (which I pay for) to come to this page, click again to magnify the cartoon, then lean in so the monitor was three inches from my nose. THEN finally I could read the cartoon..I am so bloody sick of illegible Dog Eat Doug Sundays, most weeks I don’t even bother. Complaining about it does nothing (I’ve been doing it on and off for years). I’m not sure why I’m complaining now, because I already know what the result will be.
Ya, online there should be no reason not to have a high res version to display. Kind of the advantage to having comics online. Paper, well, the comics there will be the size of quarters soon.
@dzw3030 Absolutely on Good Omens! I’d never heard of Gaiman when I read it, but I knew it’d be good because of Pratchett. All this talk about it has me dead set on re-reading it soon!

Sophie, you’re supposed to finish one book before you start the next one!

Today’s strip was excellent, but indeed hard to read even after enlarging it…and I have great eyesight!

That’s about the best use of a Hemingway book…letting the dog chew on it.

Three of my favorite writers in one strip! I love it.
