People do this! I see ‘em when I fill up my car. It’s amazing to see. I haven’t seen places ration the TP, though. They usually just lock the door and put out a sign saying “Out of order.”
Burl lets it be known all over town that he has had to ration TP…that way corporate hears that he has a problem with people using too much.
In reality, few people use the bathroom at U-Stor-It… but the story covers the number of rolls he takes home. Why, you ask, does he ration it, when merely saying the customers used twice as much as they did would also net him extra rolls?
Cos that would mean buying so much that corporate might be suspicious. The beauty of rationing is that now the customers hardly use any…most of the usage is in his home, but corporate only knows that consumption is reasonable, though not low,
I see the ladies bathroom key is connected to a bowling ball. Their car is going to be really streaky with old water and other cars dirt. Give them 2 towels and charge them a dollar for each one after that….
I don’t usually wash my windshields at stations any more. The water stinks because it’s not changed in a few months and most have stopped putting some kind of soap in it anyway.
I bet Joy gave the tighty whities idea to the co. that make the fresheners She loves to be reminded of Burl all day..
I have actually had this happen to me several times in line for gas. you wait another 10 minutes for gas because of so jerk, If you done have time to wash it yourself or can’t pay for the carwash, then why did you buy the high end car or truck . because it seems like those owners are the ones who do it.
Burl rations toilet paper for customers and employees, what, do they have to ask and he issues 4 squares. Meanwhile he takes it home from work by the case..If I worked for Burl, I would go in after burl….‘gasp’……take my own roll in and stuff the whole thing in the toilet at once and flush several times. Then report the problem to Burl that he plugged it.
I never washed my own windows at a station (for one thing, even at home I need step stool to reach the middle of my windshield). I DO remember the full service stations (where attendants pumped your gas AND washed the windshield) and never even took a tip.
Re: guy outside who’s currently squeegee-ing his whole car. Ugh. Alas, the world must be running wild with………Pennys. And I had hoped that “BP” was just feeding them a yarn.

I wonder if Julie is on holiday, ’cos this is another rerun. Still very funny, though.
Susan, have you quite recovered from that wonderful birthday party yesterday? Hope you had a wonderful day!

I don’t even want to know what Burl means, and air fresheners shaped like tighty whities? Oh good heaven.

Purple sky….that was really something wasn’t it?
Thanks for stopping by there….
I was surprised, amazed…and so overwhelmed by what was happening on Ballard St that I hardly made it to my other forums…
But to all who offered birthday greetings here or there…

The one washing his car looks like Dale. He’s waiting for the towels so he can dry it off
