Good morning, vagabonds. Yesterday, a lady friend of mine and me 9or I?) went to a thrift shop and I bought 5 LPs that I’ve always wanted. I hope I can figure out how to copy them to CDs with my new phonograph.
Good morning Vagabonds.Going to be a nice day today with temp at 60. Tomorrow down to low 50’s and Mon. too 70.Hope I can get rid of this cough soon, it’s driving me crazy.
Forgot to mention that my grandson got my sterio cd player working when he came over on Thurs. night to work on my computer and speed it up. Also to figure out the best way to make cds from my new digital recorder. The cd player was turned on but you couldn’t get it to do any else. You couldn’t ever turn if off. All he did was unplug the power cord and plug it in again and it worked. Talk about a simple fix. PTL
Morning, Vagabonds. Just got the new video, “The Little Rascals Save the Day.” It’s very cute. I love the Little Rascals and have every video there is of their shows, beginning in 1922.
Howdy Vagabonds..We’re in a fog right now, temps in mid thirties..Going to be a slow day until my nephew arrives this morning for the Easter weekend..I’m gon’a take it easy on ya today: Name your favorite Easter movie or movies..Well, catch you later, have a good day..ttfn
Glad to see you all are doing well. We had VERY nice 60-ish weather yesterday after it “snowed” in the morning. A very fast moving storm swept through, and then the winds came and warmed everything up. What fun…..2 seasons in one day.
Easter movies, Mark?Well, I lean toward Ben Hur and The Robe for the true meaning of Easter. Then, there’s Fred & Judy in The Easter Parade. What are yours?
Good morning Vagabonds..Getting ready to go up on the hill and face the sunrise. This is not a fancy dress service, we dress for the cold, it’s 25 degrees outside this morning. (i’ve seen worse).HAPPY EASTER everybody..ttfn
We too had a nice church service. Our assistant pastor married a couple of months ago, and his bride introduced an old tradition to our church this morning: Norwegian Hot Cross Buns. Fresh and home made. Man were they good!
Our pastor told us where the ritual “He is risen!” “He is risen, indeed!” came from this morning. Apparently he just figured it out while studying for our lesson in Luke 24. When Cleopas and his companion returned to Jerusalem after meeting with the Lord on the road to Emmaus they told the rest of the disciples “He is risen!” (assumed from the text, not specifically laid out) to which the disciples replied “He is risen, indeed and Simon has seen him!” (The second part is in the scripture.)
Add to our list of Easter movies “The Passion of the Christ”. Even though it is a bit too real in the beatings and crucifixion, it is one of the best to tell the story right out of the gospels.
