Actually the only thing we know is that he was the person picking up the carnations. He might only be the delivery boy for his father or someone else.

Still his heckle at Mike was for just being at the flower shop so he still loses face for bad timing.

Some people prefer Carnations over any other flower. My mother did for example.

Just because they are cheaper? I never bought my mother roses because she didn’t like them as a gift. SHe loved carnations so that is what I gave her. Can’t give them anymore because she went home to be with the Lord but oh the memories/

Carnations last longer as a cut flower.

The ironic thing is that Brad Luggsworth turned into a police officer

Where’s the irony? I can provide the names of any number of police departments who prize bullies on their force. Why do you think it is called a force? The irony is that those in the honest majority are the ones who get killed in the performance of their duty.

Actually, I love carnations. I would rather have a bouquet of carnations than roses any day.

It used to be common to let carnations absorb food coloring to create artificially colored bouquets. I’ve seen some of those for sale lately. Tacky, to my way of thinking, but popular among some folks.

My ex always always bought me carnations despite the fact that I didn’t care much for them. HE liked them best.

♫ I was a lonely, teenage broncin’ buck. With a pink carnation and a pickup truck. ♫

I don’t understand why Patterson lets himself be bullied. Brad is not that strong looking and there is only one of him…besides, he’s not a very sharp dresser! LOL

Based on Brad’s bio at FBOFW website, Brad’s father is in jail, he was arrested for beating up Brad’s mom. I think Brad’s mom works in a nursing home, so the carnations might be for her, or he might be picking them up at her request for the ladies at the nursing home. And Brad became a police officer because one of the police that arrested his father took an interest in him and helped him straighten out his life.

Any flowers are nice. My mom preferred yellow roses and I love gardenias (in my hair or on my clothing). Even if the kids picked something from my garden, it’s fine. In fact back there a lovely bouquet of lilacs and tulips could be had.

thebird55: The problem is that the bullies become white-shirt and police, like the Mafia, have omerta. When the essentially honest rank and file learn that the white-shirt bullies are the ones who are getting them killed because they no longer have public support, then some cleaning up will occur – if the military/corporate complex will permit it.
