I wanted to see mine, because I’m interested in that kind of thing. Sadly, even if I had remained awake, my glasses were 2 rooms away with my husband and folded clothes.
and yes – the prep is horrible. When I practiced nursing in the early 80’s, patients came in to be prepped overnight, including 2 soapsuds enemas in addition to what they do now. I’m glad I no longer nurse and I’m glad I don’t have to torture anyone.
I pretty much slept through mine. Booked for the day after Thanksgiving about 12 years ago (so I’m a few years overdue for the checkup); so I was still ODed on tryptophan and catatonic from lack of sleep (oddly enough). I seem to recall being told that I asked my wife when they were doing it and how long it was going to take; she told me they were already done and I could go home. Well, hardly: I couldn’t even get off the table at the time between T/G dinner, lack of sleep, and whatever supposedly mild sedative they gave me.

It’s not the procedure – it’s the prep. Great, if you don’t mind dysentery for a few hours.

What a Baby! Yes, I’ve had a few. But, I was able to catch up on my reading. Besides, I was asleep at the time.

Never yet had to endure it — and I’m looking even less forward to it now.
