The Artemis Fowl series has a centaur who really believes in the tin foil hat..Won’t work. Foil is no longer tin. Has a very high plastic content with traces of aluminum.
There’s a joke about test of which is better: beanie or bicycle helmet. Drop both of them from a roof of a building; helmet broke and beanie was intact. So beanie must be better protection. :p
