Lucy rarely acknowledged other people’s existence unless they could do something for her (or she could do something to them……), so it wouldn’t be surprising if Charlie Brown had spent two months instead of weeks at camp and Lucy had never noticed he wasn’t there.
Plot twist: The reason Lucy didn’t notice he was gone is because she time traveled 2 weeks into the future and then wiped her own memory so she wouldn’t notice.
