Thank you. I had no idea what “noodle” meant (and I live in the US and have even lived in Louisiana), so until you explained it, I didn’t get the joke.
Callum, a character in the BBC version of James Herriot’s “All Creatures Great And Small” caught trout by “noodling”, but I don’t think that’s what they call it in the Yorkshire Dales.
