    @Joe, there are always a few males in the herd–if you want to have any calves next year. Even I, a sequestered monk, know that.

    Steers are boys too. Just not quite so much so. Substitute “manure” for “BS” and he can claim he’s helping the bank’s assets grow.

    Come on… Haven’t we all wished we could do something like this? I own three cows one steer and a bull five total just don’t seem to make it worth while for me! But in a few years it’ll be my turn! Hmm if I used the seven miniature horses along with the… No I guess not BS would be better than HS!

    But, jtpozenel, there’s nothing about driving the herd to slaughter. He’s applying for a loan, and the herd is his collateral.
