This is a nice story line. Makes me smile. Both in college and in the military, I knew some wonderful people and some total jackasses.

His mom would probably turn off an alarm clock, if she wants to sabotage his future and keep him at home. Is there a password protected, battery operated alarm clock he can bolt to his bedside?

Wise professors know that most of their class is dozing intellectually even when they look at you brightly and take notes. The trick is to make the class realize that thinking is worth the effort because arguments can have real-world consequences.

Joe-Allen..Yeah..I was one of those 19 year old E-5 Sgts in the Nam. At 19, I had already finished 1 tour of Nam, and started the second. Tax-free money..And I needed it. Spent several years over in The Nam, Oki-knockknock, Japan, etc..

It’s good to find people who have actually BEEN there. It bugs me how many people who just don’t understand the military or the people in it have resolved that they really don’t WANT to understand.
FireMedic almost 15 years ago
24 years USN, been there and done that.
