We had a pastor that every now and again he would end his sermon with “believe it, or not”.

The bible is a work of fiction, and not very good fiction at that!

Fear not INGSOC, chasm, Mrs. Snape…You may not believe in God, but He still loves you. Perhaps you will want to recall this fact sometime before you are ready to leave this life, and ask for forgiveness. Besides loving you, He has an ocean of mercy.

God is Love. We are made in His Image. If we are living in Love, God lives in us. If this is so, we’ll all ready be doing His will and doing the right things won’t even be a question.

no one is “pre-programmed”. This is what an atheist would want to believe because an atheist is essentially an atheist so they can fool themselves into thinking they are not responsible for their decisions. This is what the world would sell to us…we’re just an animal with instincts, we can’t help ourselves. In the heart of every person, admit it, we know we are not the SAME as animals. Yes, we are in many respects, like animals – we eat, and poop, and breath, but we are much more.

Everyone has free will, and yes, we are responsible for our actions. The level to which each individual will be held responsible is only known by God as He is the only one who knows ALL the circumstances of our lives and how those circumstances interact with others.
