Mrs. Olsen: Any questions?
Caulfield: Why are there allergies?

Frazz: Well, we wouldn't want you getting too full of yourself.

A lot of recent research suggests that allergies come from insufficient exposure to dirt, germs and environmental bacteria during early childhood, when the immune system is learning to distinguish “self” from “other.” And then possibly made worse by over-use of antibiotics, which decimate the body’s intestinal biome.
