Pearls Before Swine by Stephan Pastis for June 22, 2014
Transcript:
The moneysaurus wanted money. But everyone knew it. So they hid their money. So the moneysaurus got a job. But the moneysaurus did not want to do any work. So the moneysaurus's boss pulled him aside. That made moneysaurus sad. Moneysaurus's boss was not moved. So moneysaurus decided to bypass the capitalist system. Goat: So we should just eat our bosses. Rat: Most do have a lot of meat on them. Pig: Mmm. Tastes like chicken.

Wants money, doesn’t want to work, devours people — Moneysaurus would make a perfect CEO.

Eat the rich!

I thought that looked an awful lot like “Bob the Dinosaur” from Dilbert ;-)

Dagwood’s Mr. Dithers might be a little tough.

I’ve often wondered what it would be like if Scott Adams actually TRIED to draw bad. Now we know.

PHB (Pointy-Haired Boss, for Dilbert non-fans) is making a pig out of Pig! Of course, I must endorse Moneysaurus’s response to his boss’s insults. Long Pig forever!

Boxer got the best medical care available, and somewhere, Pig found the money for another case of whiskey.

The bosses that were in my mind were the ones that do not work but vote for things to always be free ! Your pain is my gain, keep working slave !

If a Moneysaurus will not work, then let Moneysaurus also not eat. Eat the rich today and you’ll just be hungry again tomorrow. Then who will you eat?
Is Pastis really criticizing the capitalist system by which he gets paid? Or the ignorant sluggards who just want something for nothing?

Ever notice that every new meat “tastes just like chicken”?

First consume the bosses; when they are gone, consume anyone different from you, then lastly anyone smaller than you.

I don’t think Mr. Pastis is trying to make any political points at all here. I think he’s just being outrageously funny. He sure made me laugh! He’s apparently also paying tribute to Scott Adams. Maybe he’s going for another collaboration offer. :)

Eat the Rich, “Take one bite now and spit out the rest.”
Number Three over 10 years ago
Apparently, you are what you eat so Moneysaurus is obviously his own boss.

“All you do is say money,” Sounds like an ad for those loan places. He should be an ad exec.
bubjerryk over 10 years ago
does this mean that Scott Adams will be doing half the strip in a couple weeks?

A new take on trickle down economics.

Actually, this sounds political; somewhat like the Vice President joke. One who wants money and expenses but doesn’t want to work? Not a corporate CEO, but a voter aligned with a particular political party specializing in non-producers.
