I see the same thing happening in the classroom..No Child Left Behind means no one flunks and everyone advances to the next grade regardless! Once students figure this out , they no longer have to try and they still get rewarded with a High School Diploma. Everybody Wins…..Right!!!
This is so stupid. There’s a world of difference from kids playing games in the playground – which usually have no winner anyway because they hardly keep count (I know because we have a field behind our house where kids still play pickup games, so I go out to watch them a lot). It is the freaking adults who insist on the winner/loser stuff. It’s the stupid adults who ruin the games kids play. Dump all this organized sports garbage and just let them organize themselves. They do a pretty good job – like in the “good old days.” Making winning and losing (with season records and all) is just plain obnoxious, and it’s more for the egos of adults than for the kids. Just dump the whole winner/loser language, and let the kids figure it out for themselves. Ugh.

Cdward didn’t so he/she is the loser in this argument. See? Winners and losers. It’s how the real world works.
Rabid members of these 3 groups oppose free speech: Fundamentalists (“The Truth is obvious, and must not be questioned”), Equalitarians (“The beliefs of all sincere people deserve equal respect”), and Humanitarians (“One must never offend anybody”).
