We have a Zwergpinscher. Thinks she’s a Doberman, but acts likea cat. Very strange!

Poor Henry. Saw a news item where a Jack Russel tried to tree a bear. There is a video of a cat actually treeing a full grown bear. .Its the reaction of some dogs to seeing their first mounted cop. priceless!

All dogs think that they are wolves. The big ones don’t realise that they are bigger than wolves and the little ones don’t realise that they are smaller. The little ones have the advantage of being able to get under the larger animal and attack the soft underbelly, as it were. The big dogs know this.

My dachshund is absolutely fearless. He has a rottweiler attitude in a weiner-dog body. :)

@Robin, that’s because they were trained to go into tunnels after their prey. Gotta be tough to do that.

Had a neighbor girl bring her Rottie over to visit once (ONLY once). Told her not to bring him in if he wasn’t mannerly with cats. Said it’ll be OK. Wasn’t . Rottie wound up wearing my 8 pound cat on his nose. Went home VERY chastened. Wasn’t invited back.

I once saw a chihuahua and a Great Dane get into a fight … that little dog’s screech barking had NO effect on the Great Dane… However, the Great Dane, died in the ensuing battle..(wait for it)…… the Chihuahua got stuck in its throat!

I use to power walk around the neighborhood and there was this one small dog that would always come out to the sidewalk and yap at me, but his owner always made sure that his tie down rope was too short for him to reach the sidewalk. One day I was walking past his yard and he came out to yap at me, but for once his rope was staked too close to the sidewalk and he came up behind me just as I lifted my heal for a power step. I caught the dog right under his chin in the middle of a yap and it turned into a yelp as he ran away from me faster than he’d run out. He never yapped at me again.

I’m a bicyclist riding mainly on country roads. The nastiest bike-chasers are the little dogs. Hate’em.
