Frazz by Jef Mallett for June 12, 2014
Transcript:
Caulfield: I cannot believe we still have another week of school. Mrs. Olsen: We had a lot of snow days we have to make up. Caulfield: Well, at least that should shorten our summer reading list. Mrs. Olsen: You think? What did you read on those snow days? Frazz: I don't believe you read "Swamplandia". Caulfield: She hasn't, either; let her try to challenge me on it.

I don’t know if Caufield is into video games, but to play today’s games you have to read at least one 450 page book just to get the backdrop of the game… If she assigns Old Man and the Sea I’m gonna scream…….

I did read it, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

Excellent, Caufield. You are allowed to check Swamplandia off of your reading list. .Oh, wait. It’s not even on the list? Tough luck, son.

Hey, something I’ve never seen in a comic strip before: Caulfield properly used a semi-colon in dialog.
