It isn’t fun if somebody is making you do it.

At least he’ll find fun!

Its normal to go outside you can relax and be more active and also do sports and you can do fun things if your early enough there’s nothing bad about going outside Calvin. Its only a TV show everyone has to take a break from TV. Part of life get used to it. But in a while its fun even if it means being forced.

Calvin! You’re too young to be a couch potato! ;)

True story: The city put up swings in the green space to make a place for kids to play. They sit there, motionless, playing with their Iphones.

Surely when the sun shines outdoor fun will win over boring TV!

Not these days. My nephews are glued to their video games the 16 hours they are awake. I get more sun than they do and I only go outside to pet the cats.

It’s called cutting off your nose to spite your face, and it seldom hasa positive outcome

Why doesn’t dad go outside, too?

I am getting irritated by Dad and Mom’s constant orders at Calvin.

The “Splendid Splinter” went outside when he was a kid. No TV to keep him indoors.

unless, the bugs and especially those damn mosquitoes are swarming. or, your area is in drought conditions and your lawn looks like dust bowl.

Wow. This is only getting worse nowadays, because more parents nowadays are becoming couch potatoes, and therefore not minding if their kid stays glued to a screen all day. I’m lucky I got ones that limited my time at a screen, and they made being outside a habit for me.

That’s right, Calvin, you show him !!! ~ ROTFL ~

If only someone would make me go out and play…

Any Big Bang Theory fans? This reminds me of Sheldon’s being forced to take a vacation, and, gasp, have fun.

All Calvin wants to do is watch TV and his dad is making him go outside to play. You show your dad, Calvin, don’t have any fun!

We know why dad needed Calvin out of the house. It wasn’t TV.

Calvin seems to refuse to do a lot of things, from the last three or four comic strips. Lol

What happened to the TV show he so wanted to watch?

I may be a weirdo for staying inside when the weather is nice but that’s how I like it.Electonic fan blasting and curtains closed is the life for me.xxx

We got our first TV when I was 5. The only time I was interested in watching it was on Saturday morning to catch the cartoons. As I grew up News and Sports became an interest.

Nowadays TV news isn’t and if you don’t “buy” the special channel, you can’t watch your home team anymore. Used to be lug the old portable out to the back yard, plug it into the extension cord, turn the dial to the correct channel, wiggle he rabbit ears, get a beer from the cooler and watch the game.
