Harley lives in his own world completely unfettered by facts and history. This makes it impossible to reach a working compromise on anything, which is why the Tea party has brought Congress to a stand still over the last several years. It would be nice if we could compromise on fixing some roads and bridges or other obvious stuff.
“It’s harder to end a war than begin one. Indeed, everything that American troops have done in Iraq – all the fighting and all the dying, the bleeding and the building, and the training and the partnering – all of it has led to this moment of success.-“Now, Iraq is not a perfect place. It has many challenges ahead. But we’re leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq, with a representative government that was elected by its people.”-Barack Obama, 2011-http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-16191394
I see more mindless partisans from the left than from the right. If you are sincere in your complaint you would call for both to be flagged. On the other hand, if you believed in open debate you would address the merits of their statements and allow the truth to hold its own instead of trying to dismissively shut them out.
Well, we have the First Amendment. Some do not exercise their right to free speech responsibly.
I liked the speech that Michael Douglas gave at a press conference in the movie “The American President” “You want free speech? Then let’s have you sit and listen to someone, front & center, yelling at the top of his lungs, against that which you have spent your lifetime arguing for. Then, you can say you live in the land of the free!”
Unfortunately, yet perhaps fortunately, we must suffer some of these trolls.
Look into the facts surrounding the claim that President Bush declared “Mission Accomplished” in Iraq and you will see that he did no such thing, but merely happened to give a speech on an aircraft carrier which was celebrating the end of its deployment. As for President Obama, he was willing to own up to his decision back when its disastrous consequences were not so obvious:-http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2014/06/19/president-obama-took-credit-in-2012-for-withdrawing-all-troops-from-iraq-today-he-said-something-different/
An eight year old girl in Baghdad in her kitchen in the first day of the “shock and awe” campaign, with the back of her head blown off, is the proof of who “broke it”….

I’d just like to know what is the timeline for when the Obama administration will quit blaming Bush, 2026? If you could just give me a date.
