When I was that age, it never occurred to me that food went bad. That is what mothers are for.

Calvin almost had an experience with milk. His mother told him to smell it to find out to which Calvin negated. Then his mother took a whiff and said it was fine.

Smart! Most guys get racked up by cheesecake at least once in their life.

You’ve got a good chance of being racked up by a fresh cheesecake. Don’t eat more than a small slice.

Milk and cheese doesn’t last long enough in our house to go bad.

Next time Linus and Lucy want a fresh cheesecake, they should eat at the Cheesecake Factory.

A woman’s sense of smell is, on average, 10 times more sensitive than a man’s. This proably explains why men can “hang out” in locker rooms and why they are willing to sniff the container of milk that has been in the back of the refrigerator since the Carter administration.

Once I ate something which had went off and I didn’t realise it until I had almost finished them all.

I’ve had food poisoning before, I didn’t want to get it again. I was lucky that time.

I was going to say, “how can you tell?”; but it appears, this has been adequately covered..Sort of like, how do you know when cottage cheese is bad?.When it makes a suitable foundation for a house!

Why is when someone thinks something has gone bad, they always want you to smell/taste it??If you think it’s bad, toss it.

There is no way that a cheese cake in my fridge would last long enough to go bad !

If an average-sized cheesecake can’t be eaten in approximately 2-3 days in a house containing 2 adults and 3 kids, then you’re obviously not putting enough cherry pie filling on it!!!!! ;-)

First time I’ve seen this one since it first ran in 1967. Schulz’s use of vernacular is excellent.
