How bizarre. I just viewed this cartoon 10 mins ago.2 mins ago my daughter’s allergy results came in…She shows a very strong negative reaction to:Spelt; barley; oats; gluten; rye; wheat and several types of nuts.
Gluten-free diet it is then. Yup, methinks that editor shall be in great demand… :-/
Gluten-free diets may be a fad, but those with a wheat gluten allergy, sensitivity, or Celiac disease greatly benefit from it due to increased availability of gluten free products and better labeling of existing gluten free products.
Hey, just wait a few years and what is good now will be bad and what is bad will be dietary salvation. It really makes you wonder about the wisdom of the researchers who publish all this crap.
During a phone conversation with a long-lost friend, he told me that he and his wife had just come back from dinner. He said she had to eat gluten-free. I asked him if that was hard to find on the road, and he told me they went to Hardee’s. Wouldn’t have been my first guess…….

I understand that the ‘old’ wheat we ate had 5% gluten whereas the ‘new’ wheat has 50% gluten. I don’t know exactly when we went from 5 to 50.
