What made that loud noise?

That’s about as much swinging Earl can do any more. Best go take a nap and rest up for the next one, Earl Wouldn’t want you getting winded when you get that wound up again.

Crash?! That didn’t sound good at all!

Why take lessons? If I keep hitting the little ball and never get it in the little hole, then I get to stay out all the longer. Much more golf for the money, no?

Earl’s trying for a ricochet off the windmill…

Earl can’t take a hint. He doesn’t care where he hits the ball as long as he hits it wherever it may land.

For some reason that exchange confused the heck out of me, but considering how much I would expect him to improve with lessons, I think what he’s doing now is much cheaper.

I’m with BC13. I don’t think I’m awake enough to make sense of that last panel.

I think Earl missed the cup and went threw the sliding door… Now opal has to knit much more. She must sell them , she’s always knitting….

It would be nice if Opal sold her knitting. My now deceased aunt was a compulsive knitter. She knitted everything you could think of, but either used it herself or gave it away to others. There is a limit to what should be made out of knitting.

So in other words, he’s purposely messing up?

He should have remembered that he was putting, not driving.

It takes more than 500 lbs. of steel wool to knit a stove.

Opal you need to tell Earl to take his golf clubs outside. then call somone to come fix whatever he broke.

And sitting around knitting steel wool might get you a “potbelly”…or a “franklin”…
