It looks like Liz was quite impressed!

First time I ever saw someone with lipstick on their eyelids.

Cat people are different. You struck a chord there, Jon.

Liz took me by complete surprise.

His pic is right next to my 3 ex wives and 10 kids.

I guess the kitty-pic in the wallet makes up for the hideous wardrobe.

At the risk of sounding horribly cynical, It’s not like Jon has pics of anything else to put in there.

While what you say is true, it is also true that Jon didn’t have to put any pictures in there at all.

sure he did, Odie! And he does have family. I have pics of all my animals on my phone. And one of my son and Husband too.

Smooth move, Jon! Run Garfield!!!

That’s the third time I’ve seen Jon (I thought Liz dislikes his geeky wardrobe) get kissed by Liz.

The first was on 19 Dec. 1981 (wow, after 3½ years of the cat’s debut) as a reuglar, three-panel daily strip.

The second was another Sunday strip. Had no speech balloons, but Jon and Garfield are at a florist’s, buys a single rose and Jon gets a kiss from Liz. Then, so excited, Jon zooms to the florist’s again and back to Liz’s house with a dozen roses. Liz is impressed again and Garfield gives a thumb’s up to the fourth wall (11 Feb. 2007; wow, three years before today’s strip).

I would have bet that only 3 sets of Liz’s lip prints would fit on his face. He’s also dressed lke a leprechaun.

Jon your tie is a little… well, I guess it doesn’t matter.

Congratulations, Jon, but I thought Liz burned all you’re bow ties.

This is at least the FOURTH kiss by Liz; the last one (not all that long ago) lasted for two strips.

In honor of that, I’m going to break my own long-standing rule and give this one a unique tag (to correct the other unique tag, partially).

Jon also gets kissed by Liz on 10 Jan 2010 in the second to last panel.

They call him “Jonny Suave”
