Three points:First, not all companies are bad companies, and not all business owners are bad people.Second, not all employees are bad; if they were, companies would fail in spite of any other efforts. The best companies always try to keep the best people.Third, this is just a comic strip…
Speaking Truth to Power means standing up to the Man and exposing his lies as exactly that, contradicting the party line and holding forth on common sense and factual reality. It is only socially acceptable to do so if you are speaking truth to the enemy in the name of gaining control for your own power elite, generally.Contradicting the False Truths of your own power elite is a very bad idea, usually, and results in social ostracism at the least, and the occasional firing, as depicted in the cartoon, where they intend to weed out those not loyal to the power elite.Witness the harsh attitudes of commenters across the internet whenever they encounter some truth that is not part of their belief system, and thus cannot be Truth.
Thank you to all who explained Truth to Power. Now the phrase makes sense. .But why be so obtuse? Unless the company is wanting to rid itself of a lot of hot air. Which I guess means a lot of upper middle management & higher may be going home..And I would be safe. Because not only did I not understand the phrase-I have learned not to say the bald truth to mgmt. Way safer.

Aw…she thinks you’re part of her family! I know it’s gross, but she really does think she’s “feeding” you.

I always start at the edge of the lawn but the tallest blade tells me when.
