Adam: Sigh. Rolf: Yo... What's the matter, dude? Adam: I dunno, Rolf... I have this feeling that I'm taking life a bit too lightly... that maybe I need something else to push me to a richer, more substantive life. Rolf: Hmm... Hold on, I'll go ask the big guy. God: What does he want? Rolf: Something that'll make his life more substantial. God: OK... I've got just the thing... Behold... Rolf: Whoa! ...Then he handed me this six-pack and said switching from a pilsener to a stout oughta do it. Adam: Woo-hoo! I feel better already! B.E. (Before Eve) The pre-female time in paradise when guys were guys...

How many were made in the dust storms?

I’m a Guiness man myself, but there’s a local brew here that is heartier than it…Dogfish Head Chicory Stout. Thicker, more bitter, and a better head. Sacrilege, I know…but it’s great stuff!

Hey, I remember Rolf on the Jimmy Dean Show. Thanks for the reminder, Joe.

@JFri - Nice picture of the Duke! He’d show these guys what drinking is really all about!
That being said, I prefer a white wine and it only takes one glass to get me “happy”.

I prefer gin, but I flavor my own by adding a mix of citrus zest and 6 juniper berries- let them soak in the bottle for a least a week for a really good flavor;-)

Hah!! The Book of Guiness, very good.
If Adam was made from the dust - who came out of dust devils? (Paraphrasing someone else’s question). I’d guess Lawyers (the larval stage) and Politicians (their ‘adult’ stage).

I haven’t cleaned my apartment in so long that my dust bunnies have grown into dust rhinos…

That’s right JFri, but I like to use the beer as a chaser for some Booker’s.

CHASM Are you saying lawyers came before Eve? Why were they needed? Come to think of it, why are they needed now? Oh yeah, the house and car.

“And, on the eighth day, God created Alcoholics. And on the ninth day , God created Woman. And on the tenth day, God created AA. On the eleventh day, God created smoking for the AA meetings.” Hang on, after this, it gets a little complicated.

When I was young it was free love and dollar beer. Now dollar love and free beer makes more sense.

Thank you Arthur Guinness. Poppy1313: Dublin is where I fell in love with Guinness. There is a hug in every mug.

“This Bud’s 4 U!” The question is why do we (men) even need the dog , the mastadon, the parrot and the turtle? Pizza, beer, TV and a congenial diety suit me fine. Tho’ Eve was definitely cute… Hmmm?

Guinness Gives You Strength!
But it’s best on tap, so Adam’s missing out. They’ve now developed the technology to but a gas charge in bottles of Guinness (they’d already been putting charges in the cans), so you can get the cascade like you’re supposed to, but draught can’t be beat.
By the way, the Muppet’s name is Rowlf, not Rolf.
By the way, nobody CARES whether Adam and Eve’s names were “really” Adam and Eve. They’re fictional characters, and Moses’s copyright lapsed a couple thousand years ago. They’re in the public domain.

Left Hand Milk Stout
BTW, stout was invented by monks. During Lent they weren’t allowed to eat while the sun was up, so they wanted something hearty to drink for lunch. Which leads me to believe they also invented the siesta.
