They’ve got to have brown spots to be any good.

bananas are best.Yellowy green bananas are alright.But bananas with Brown Spots are nasty

Really over ripe bananas make terrific banana nut bread. I have 2 that are almost black!

First time I made maduros for my Cuban husband, I was barely able to stop him from throwing out the “spoiled” black plantains. Then he reluctantly ate one… and I couldn’t make them enough for him after that.

I would only eat yellow bananas, green aren’t ripe and brown is for banana bread.

I agree. Yellow, but with a little green in the stem is best. Makes the banana less mushy and more crisp and sweet.

I agree with Nate. Yellow with a touch of green is the only way I like them. Once they start with the brown spots, forget it. Then they’re only good for banana bread and doggie treats!

yellow bananas with brown spots are the best! Its so much sweeter than yellowish-green but not mushy like brown or black…..

Those sweet ripe yellow bananas with the brown spots on them is like finding buried treasure when you know you have the last truly delicious banana in the fruit bowl.

Meanwhile the green ones are just sitting in the fruit bowl like: Why are WE always left out?! XD
