Whether the woman with the frosted sunglasses was making a truthful statement with her tee-shirt or not, Monty never had a chance. We all knew that, Moondog!
I’ve always thought that there was a distinction to be made between geeks and nerds. The former (aside from it’s carny origins) I always thought was a socially inept goofball with technical skills, while a nerd lacked the tech..I think the fine gradations in language are worth preserving (especially since I consider myself a geek: who would want to be a nerd?).
Sure, a nerd is just a pocket protector type. There’s all sorts at the bottom of society; creeps, jerks, DBs, bullies, etc.In Monty’s case, whatever his social title, he has another tagged onto it, LOSER!
On a different topic; I do believe that this is the most buxom woman that Meddick has ever drawn. Most are boney or beefy; this one is kind of “Baywatchy”.
Being a “nerd” is not always a bad thing. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs were both considered nerds when they were young….Oh, and Bill is still pretty much a nerd; a very wealthy nerd, I might add…

I think her statement is is self-reflective. Only a nerdy gal would go to the beach and lay out in a tee and shorts.
