You never can know how many bugs might be hiding in a garden hose, Red! Like a lot of other people, I remember drinking out of hose when I was a kid. Almost a rite of passage! ;)

Neat – but I have never seen a dog spit before.

I thought Red was impressed by Rover’s distance!

I’ll pass on the bug juice!

Red should be happy that he didn’t get it first!

Anyone who doesn’t seen a dog spit, hasn’t tried to give a pill to a dog.

Growing up, the water out of the hose on a hot summer day always tested best…

Whoa!

I doubt our dog would spit out any bug she caught. To her, it would be just another treat; after she was done playing with it, of course.

Generally speaking, garden hoses have lead in them, so they might not be safe to drink out of.

It’s amazing some of us survived our childhoods. We drank out of hoses, rode bikes without helmets, rode in the back of the station wagon without seatbelts. I also remember standing on the bench seat with my arm around my daddy’s neck while he was driving and he’d let me hold the wheel while he lit a cigarette! These days he’d probably be in jail for child neglect! We were never sick and are healthy 60 somethings! Drink up Red!

I thought Red had just had a tooth come loose. Glad it was just a bug.
