What’s with John’s body in the third panel? Where are his arms? It’s a good thing Elly has her back to him so she doesn’t freak out when he turns into a pink Jabba the Hutt.

The flannel goes when the hot flashes arrive.

Did she mean to add:, “You used to keep me warm.”?

I wear flannel nighties almost every night now. Nights do get colder as you get older - 72.

Ha Ha….I have an electric mattress pad. My only problem is the cat. When they are warm and happy, they can resist being moved.

Hey…wear the flimsy thing…do your thing, afterward change into the “cast iron” no biggie! Compriomse…

The Vermont Country Store has a nighty exactly like that, and it is really warm and toasty.

There’s a reason I sleep on a heated water bed, with an electric blanket, etc.

Yup; as a woman ages and the marriage ages … more flannel seems to get worn.

That nightgown looks just like the rest of her, only it isn’t as plain and frumpy as she is. Isn’t she still in her 20’s here? Jeez!

Maybe I am alone here, but I happen to think flannel is hot.

He thinks his tighty whiteys are the thrill of her life. Or maybe no tightey whiteys. Could that be why she put on the bulletproof nightgown?

Those arms in the first panel fastening the buttons on her nightgown are Ellie’s own, and yes, they are weird. John’s arms, what you can see of them, are at his sides. In the second panel. that is Ellie’s hand clutching the front of her gown. There is so little of John’s body shown in the last panel that there is no room to show his arms.

And boy doesn’t John make you want to wear a flimsy, slinky nighty?!

My wife wear flannel PJs and socks to bed…her butt is like a Butterball turkey and her feet are like ice cubes…keep ‘em off me…

so sorry, my husband desires me no matter what i wear or don’t wear. I think he’s crazy but I’m not gonna talk him out of it.
