I got nothing. It is really a groaner of a pun, and I have to wonder about the size ratio between the chickens and the car. But I just am not offended. Sorry Supreme Ruler of the Birdbrains but:
No cookie for you, today!
(I’ll try looking again later, maybe it’s just over my head.)
I missed that the chickens were flying too high, and carrying too much. This little birdbrain is really a bird brain. If I had been smarter I would have been immensely offended. In my previous despair I ate all the cookies. I have some peanut butter cups, would that be okay?
Actually, I’m glad these chickens are large & strong enough to fly with that much weight, otherwise it would certainly be as a coupe de grâce for any other chickens.

I think it looks more like a coupe de ville or maybe even an eldorado
At least he only had two doors. THAT”S the real defining note. The convertible was more a West coast thing than middle America, especially in the coup. If you was Foos on Overhaulin’ you know the guy would make a flying saucer a convertible if he could and that’s the place the coupe convert came from, guys who like to display.
Gee. Makes you wonder how the phrase, “flew the coop” originated. Wonder if it could have had anything to do with birds escaping. Things that make you go, DUH…” [!]
Good Day Lonewolf! I think you may be right and I got carried away. (But it was FUN!)

Bunnyface (you’re still bmonk to us) - thanks for the photo documentation! Hilarious! Thanks for the comparison to the god of comics, though undeserved. Still, it felt wonderful for a couple seconds. — What did he mean? I missed it.
BTW may I call you Lord of the Obscure or Master of Perception? Or both if you prefer.
Bunnyface - I hope I am never disrespectful to you. Although I may tease you sometimes. I have tremendous respect for anyone whose actions speak louder than their words.
Yeah, I was afraid of that, if it helps it may have just as much to do with who you are as with the experiences I’ve had with others. (No insult intended.)

Of course they do, they’re all couped up the rest of the week.

Auto could use larger tail fins.
Rakkav almost 15 years ago
If they’re your average cooped-up chickens, the mere fact they’re flying that high is a miracle.
Rakkav almost 15 years ago
Is there anyone in the room who needed that explanation?
I thought not.

Johanan…..ME, but I do stupid things.

So do I…like overreact when there really isn’t call for it.

I needed it, if Joe hadn’t come in and explained it, I would have though he had flown the coop!

Oh, thats funny, coupe, coop. I’m glad Joe pointed that out. Did Blue do that on purpose? Hahaha

I am offended by the heavy load the chickens have to bear. That’s not weakened behavior!
MisngNOLA almost 15 years ago
Well that certainly was some kind of coup, coming up with the explanation for that pun.

Fly the coupe????? Groannnnnn. Now I’m really offended by that.
Is there a hint of a face in the clouds just below the rear tires? I’m offended by that too.

I dread that “fly off the handle” is not far off!

It could be worse. They could try to fly to Sedan. Or sit on their Hatch-back in the rear of the Coupe.

I believe it was the comparison to Gary Larson of The Far Side.
I’m pretty laid back about what people call me, so long as it isn’t disrespectful.

@ ottod: I’ve never seen chickens flying a chicken coop before, only coupe convertables.
Now, I DID see chickens DRIVING a chicken coop to escape, but that’s another story!
