Gloria, I don’t suppose you had anything to do with this?

Meanwhile George soldiers on reading his newspaper, happy that he had not yet lit his pipe.

Hey, Thomas Alva Bassetson, how about if you invent alternating current to power it over long distances? Oh, wait, that had to be invented by Nikola Bassetla.

    Evenin’ all….

Yup…. we’re here to comment on

the March 6th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”

and the story of Thomas Alva Bassetson… so beautifully animated there, on Sherpa.

I was wondering whether this was re-run tonight to contrast with this Pooch Cafe tale, which I previously linked to on Monday….

    https://www.gocomics.com/poochcafe/2020/03/02?ct=v&cti=1084954&comments=visible#comments

We have dueling claims to the invention of the light bulb!

But you can clearly see the birth of Thomas Alva Bassetson’s idea…. I have to think that Thomas Edishound’s work was not completely original.

Now I wonder about that Pooch Cafe strip!

I really wanted to post a link to this Cleo one there Monday night, but it’s not dated, and I couldn’t find it quickly enough on Sherpa.

The story of Alva and the chipmunks might have been more entertaining.

If you put your finger in the socket during all that turning on and screwing in, you’ll surely be shocked!

    Late night roundup:

I posted last night, but probably no one will see it, apologising cos I’ve been keeping crazy hours… can’t sleep at the right times so I’ve been falling asleep over the comics.

Yes… I should be sleeping at those times… but unfortunately, it only works in my chair.

I also answered Rotifer, about the cowboy boot ad.

    And… um… Grog…. isn’t that a little… unkind?

Daylight saving time coming in a few days…. Yay! But I’d better start adjusting or I’ll be up even later on the clock!

And I’m not sure about whether Gloria is to blame for George’s mishap…

If she did anything to make him fall, , I’d think it would be a trap door, not that she’d have purposely broken their floor or couch…. or set either up to break, in a way that needed repairs.

And if nothing were actually broken, she probably wouldn’t be saying it would spoil his weekend.

    G’night, all…… ZZZZZ ….

I always hate being the last one to arrive at Cleo’s. All the brilliant things have already been said. I did enjoy today’s animation. I left it on extra long at the screen credits. I thought the light bulb would turn on.

Maybe he can amp it up a little and make it turn on and off just by asking his assistant, Alexa, to do it.
