What is it with kids climbing under restaurant tables? My grandkids reached a certain age and then they started doing that. Is there some explanation, other than embarrassing their supervising grown-up?
Never mind why kids like to hide under tables. At age 65, I’m still trying to figure out why people park their chewed gum under a table. Did they think they were going to retrieve it after their meal and chew it, or were they marking the table, like a dog marks its territory?
I do not know why people or children do that. Waters or Waitress do not clean up under the table. Ruthie that is so gross. For me I do not chew gum have not since age 20 or 30 and I am far older and I do not miss it.To my thinking seeing people chew gum reminds me of cows chewing cud.
Many, many years ago, I had a Science teacher- I think 6th or 7th grade- who had us chew gum and then put it under the microscope. To see all the little wiggly things stuck to the gum and knowing I was also chewing them turned me off gum for ever.
I had my teeth capped when I was 11 or 12 and have not chewed gum since then; it does not appeal to me either. Some people are careless with that as others are with their smoke.
Today, Joe learns the importance of spelling (especially for tattoos).
The gum-chewing girl and the cud-chewing cow Both bear a certain resemblance somehow… Um……ahh…….Oh, wait ! I see it now !!It’s the intelligent look on the face of the cow !!
She should have looked under the tables in my college cafeteria. We discovered that if you put a spoonful of pudding on the bottom of a cafeteria glass, you could stick it to the underside of the table and it would hold for two or three months before it would let go and drop the glass.
