Deliberately or otherwise, his sentiment echoes that of Charles Darwin, who over one hundred years ago pointed out that “ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge.”
So if all the average people are wrong about being above average, then why should truth depend on the number of scientists who think they know what it is? You know what I’m talkin’ ’bout.
