I wouldn’t go so far as to say I root for the bull (I don’t want the bullfighter to be injured or killed), but I can’t consider any activity, where the main point is to kill or injure either a person or an animal for fun, to be a sport. I consider such “sports” to be barbaric, and the same goes for the people who enjoy them.
You and I may not care for the sport but millions do. In a world where every culture is Deemed equal, and none are better than others, our judgement on their culture deems us all as ‘racist’ does it not? At least according to the modern definitions provided by our betters.
But I agree, we all have the right to our opinions and should be able to state them freely. Would that we could do so for other topics without fear of reprisal both verbal and physical.
Regarding the end result the bull is dead, there is meat on the table for the village.
I wish a Merry Christmas to everyone, whether you want to receive it or not, it is still offered with love, as I celebrate the birth of the hope for all mankind.
In some restaurants in some cities that have bullfights one can order body parts of bulls that lose the fights. One time a tourist in one of those restaurants had the roasted “Rocky Mountain Oysters” of a recent loser. He enjoyed them so much that a few days later he ordered the same thing. After he was finished he told the waiter, “These were a bit smaller than the last time.” The waiter responded, “Senor, sometime the bull wins.”

It’s illegal now in most places. Public torture of an animal is utterly disgusting.
