Reminds me of something that happened 43 years ago, in 1977. I was watching my Red Sox clobber the opposing team on a bright sunny day, when I looked out the window and noticed how the sky had become quite dark. The roof of the produce warehouse across the street had caught fire. (The fire department building was only about 2 or 3 blocks away and was quickly on the scene.)
I had a brother in law who taught me that memories aren’t always what you think. He had heard some story’s my friend and I told, so often, that at the end he had inserted himself in. We knew he was wrong, but now I wonder about the reality I think I lived.
