You… you just… call your teachers?For once, that’s an appropriate reaction from Nate.

I believe Nate’s not miffed that Francis called Mrs Godfrey – it’s more that he did not give Nate a heads-up!

This is interesting: either: 1)the Fran-Man’s bluffing….he actually did not….and could not…do such a thing, or 2)he actually accomplished this, BUT: the G-Lady’s famous for “yankin’ ’em around a bit in class” (this could have an abrasive edge on it this school year, if she had an especially bad summer….) and the quiz is actually on the 23th or the 25th!! I go with the “bluff” option because it would be prudent & wise for the Fran-Man to suggest to Nate, just before school starts, that Nate PREPARE as though a quiz could “pop” on ANY school day!! Have you noticed that one of Nate’s chief weaknesses in school is: He’s NEVER ready for a quiz, ANY time one may pop up?

So she clearly shows she got favorites … otherwise why would she reveal she got a test planned, but not tell the rest?

?? I’m not a parent, but I thought these days schools have web sites for class announcements, including homework. Anyway, it’s not wise for teachers to let students know their phone number. (Parents, I can see. Maybe Francis got her number from them?)

I stopped trying to learn anything at school, whenever I asked a question the answers were usually ‘never you mind’ or ’ I will cover that in class’ which of course they never do but will remember to have it the final exam.

Nate hate quizzes!

Any teacher who plans quizzes that much in advance is not a good teacher, doesn’t care about students. I put in tests and quizzes vaguely, as you never knew which exact day was best in August.

A) the smack was uncalled for.B) Godfrey should have said she’d announce the quiz the first week of class so that everyone would have a heads up to brush up.
