    My older cocker spaniel would NOT have been chasing the squirrel. She would be waiting for the treats. If it moved, she thought, “why bother”.

    @StelBel: That would sure be worth it. I don’t know what the life span of a squirrel is-especially a comic strip one, so he may never have to repay the favor, anyway.
