Steroids allow people to maintain their stamina longer for things like weight training. Which can make someone unnaturally strong, allow them to hit a ball unnaturally far…

It’s not like you shoot something into your bicep, and it immediately swells up like Popeye’s.

Steroids don’t have anything to do with stamina. Steroids speed the process of healing tissue. When you work out, you physically stress your muscle tissue and the healing of it is what builds bulk. To that end, using steroids if you are not already nearing the peak of your muscle fitness is like drinking sand to quench your thirst.

this is one of my favorites, with Mc Guire, Maddux, and Glavine…something very odd, in 98 McGuire only hit one homer against Braves pitching, that was off Millwood…Sosa hit two off Maddux, I think…here’s the link:

    From the Mayo Clinic:

“Why are these drugs so appealing to athletes? Besides making muscles bigger, anabolic-androgenic steroids may help athletes recover from a hard workout more quickly by reducing the amount of muscle damage that occurs during the session.”

Steroids allow cheating athletes to train longer, increase muscle mass. There’s really no serious debate about this, at least among the science-believing community.
