My cat hates tuna flavored cat food…and the smell of it is nauseating…I’ll never buy it again…
My beloved cat, Gypsy, did the same thing, too. He never liked tuna flavored cat food with the terrible smell. I stopped buying it but I usually bought different kind of flavored cat food cans that he liked to eat. Gypsy really liked to eat fresh tuna that we usually eat. He surely consumed fast and deliciously.
People know about chocolate, but real tuna is also bad for cats. They can become addicted to it… and if they eat too much over too long a period of time, they develop nutritional deficiencies that cause them to first go blind, then die.
My cat really hated store brand food, no matter what, and was more likely to eat Friskies, especially the kinds with gravy. I think the store brand was more likely to be the bad Chinese food with melamine and she knew not to eat it.
i buy my cats better cat food, at least without corn or gluten in the top five, carnivores that they are
so, what do they go nuts for?
cheetos, doritos and bread
“An Engineer’s Guide to Cats” on YouTube mentions that tuna is “pretty much like cocaine for kitties”. Looks like some of the comments above would agree with that.

There’s some cans of tuna in my pantry that we marked since about 2000. Still good, though.
