If this strip were a dog, it would have been put to sleep decades ago. Remember Steve Roper and Mike Nomad? I think they were down to about 20 subscribers before the syndicate pulled the plug, and that was better than this. This strip is becoming painful to read, and there’s not even a pig on wheels to break the monotony of “I’ll kill him”.
Why do you want to kill him? You got your stupid Strad back, didn’t you? How long will this current activity, the son howling “Police”, the maestro saying “I’ll kill him”, and the police standing around, useless as a zamboni in the desert? At least a week?
I’m with Vista I think Ohso and Dad will fight over who gets to kill the son. Maybe the two of them will end up dead and the son gets a new start on his rock career. I’m not sure where Tracy fits into all of this, but I’m sure Tess is working on another cultural event to take him too.
Panel 1: Tracy and his Uniformed DOPPELGANGER watch a black blob that Brozman somehow expects us to believe is a crowd. After a similar Sam experience - you know DEATH is in the air !
Panel 2 : Ohso stupid pulls a gun, with the Police and a huge crown all around him (?) Better odds to run ! - Does he have a “suicide” mindset ? Rather than that lame COCKAMAMIE Violin bomb plot, better to have saved the bullet for the Ambassador.
Panel 3 : And Repetition King Dick Locher chalks up his fifteenth “repeat” of his favorite line.
I think I’m getting the picture here. The son has spotted Virgil, Virgil has pulled a gun, the dad is trying to find the son so he can give him the big goodnight. If I had studied with this much repetition in school, I’d have had a 4.0 every semester.
Tracy’s contribution at least was significant this time. He turned a $10 million violin into a depth charge and saved the ambassador’s life. Calling in the photographer was superfluous, because Virgil has stupidly pulled a gun and thus “outed” himself.
It is a testament to our will
That we even bother with this swill
Were it not for those who here do gather
I would not read Lochers insipid blather
“It happened” and “I’ll kill him” pad the script
They are nothing but a bunch of useless
Flight Suit’s “Floooooms” are a master stroke
I wonder if TMS even gets the joke
And we hail the return of leakysqueaky
Who went to the coast to get all freaky
Her new avatar sure is grand
Even if it appears to be sans Fran
So to all posters I raise a beer
And to Tracy I shed a tear.
Hundreds of years from now, English Lit majors will read WW’s poems and speculate furiously about who his contemporaries, such as Leakysqueaky and FlightSuit were, or what they were meant to symbolize in his writings.

I really hope the son doesn’t get to start over. I don’t like the kid and don’t like the father. Virgil’s the most likable character in this story.

Well, it’s obvious as to how all of this is going to end.
Once again, the detective work falls to the wayside. Such an ignominious way for ths once-great strip to end!
